Gary Woolam | Director and Head of Risk Management
Gary leads ARX Rural’s approach to risk management, working with members and brokers to raise safety standards, strengthen regulatory compliance, and build genuine resilience — the kind that makes a material difference when it matters most. He brings more than 30 years of experience across multiple sectors, including over a decade as Head of ESG and Risk Management at a UK insurance broker, where he led complex liability, casualty, and property surveys and delivered practical risk improvements for corporate clients.
Earlier in his career, Gary founded and ran a health and safety consultancy serving clients across construction, manufacturing, distribution, hospitality, and retail, designing and implementing HSEQ management systems from gap analysis through to successful accreditation.
